During the field visit to the JAHEZ project (Strengthening the Climate Change Response Readiness of Refugee-Hosting Communities in Jordan), Mr. Anton Klymchuk, JAHEZ Project Officer at FCDO; Ms. Serena Bashal of FCDO; Mr. Jeremy Stone, JAHEZ Project Lead at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI); Dr. Ahmed Masoud of IWMI; and Eng. Duaa Al-Deirbani, CEO of the Climate Action Network (CAN) and JAHEZ Project Manager at CAN, along with the project team, met with representatives of the local community and the municipal focal points in Ramtha.

During the meeting, community and municipal representatives described their journey with the JAHEZ project and their role in identifying risks, needs, and priorities, and in co-designing the interventions.

The meeting reflected the project’s approach of combining local knowledge and experience with scientific and technical evidence and municipal priorities, to develop interventions that respond to actual local needs and risks.

The Climate Action Network (CAN) is the national implementing partner of the JAHEZ project in Irbid and Ramtha.
