Inauguration of “the Circular Economy Approach in Jordan Schools” project

Under the esteemed patronage of the Director of Educational Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Waqfi, and in the presence of representatives from relevant stakeholders, local authorities, and the broader community, Climate Action Network Jordan (CAN) is proud to announce the inauguration of the “Circular Economy Approach in Jordan Schools – Manakhar Village” project.

With the generous support of Mitsubishi Corporation, this innovative initiative introduces a comprehensive system for rainwater harvesting, sink water treatment, and the reuse of water for irrigating the school garden and greenhouse. The project also provides the garden with seedlings and includes the installation of an efficient irrigation system.

This initiative aims to enhance the productivity of schools in Jordan and set a leading example of circular economy practices and water reuse in the region. By fostering sustainable practices, the project not only contributes to environmental conservation but also serves as an educational model for students and the community at large.
