The Climate Action Network – Jordan, in collaboration with the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM) and Irbid Governorate, organized a concluding workshop today, Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
The event focused on the adoption of the resilience measurement and action plan for Irbid City, within the framework of the project “Harnessing Synergy between Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction in Comprehensive Healthcare System Responses for Migrants in Jordan – Irbid as a Case Study.”
Funded by the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) – Arab States, the workshop aimed to review and formally adopt Irbid’s Local Resilience Action Plan (LRAP). Key stakeholders from all governmental institutions in the Governorate participated in the session.
The Climate Action Network – Jordan extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, Irbid Governorate, and all participants from various official institutions and bodies for their continuous cooperation and tireless efforts leading up to the conclusion of this project.
We also thank the supporting entity, the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, and look forward to further joint work aimed at enhancing resilience and public health in Jordan.
