Program Goal
1. Promote Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) to reduce climate change impacts and disaster risks in Irbid and Ramtha.
2. Strengthen local capacity to plan and implement NBS for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).
3. Improve community resilience by integrating NBS into local environmental and risk-reduction actions
Program Activities
The main deliverables of this project are:
1. Conduct coordination and planning meetings with municipalities and local stakeholders on NBS and DRR.
2. Deliver training workshops on Nature-Based Solutions for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction.
3. Implement pilot NBS interventions (e.g. green spaces, tree planting, soil and water conservation).
4. Carry out community awareness and engagement activities on the benefits of NBS for reducing climate and disaster risks.
5. Monitor, document, and report on NBS implementation and project results.
