CAN intends to deliver policy analysis and recommendations on SLCP mitigation


CAN in cooperation and funding from Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) will work for hand in hand with the Ministry of Environment to identify the priority SLCP mitigation measures and to follow up its endorsement for 21 months period. Stakeholder consultations will be conducted comprising representatives from relevant sectoral agencies, academia, NGOs, and the private sector in a gender-responsive manner. The draft of the SLCP mitigation measures will be endorsed through multiple meetings with decisions makers. In the end, a report provided to the Ministry of Environment that includes policy analysis, situational analysis and a prioritized SLCP mitigation measures driven by pragmatism, policy relevant science, and consultations provided to the ministry of environment. Also, relevant SLCP mitigation actors at the national and sub-national levels including private sector will have a common understanding of and endorse the instruments and approaches in SLCP Mitigation with focus on mitigation measures.
