Climate Action Network Jordan (CAN) Launches 2nd Call for Proposals to Address Climate Change Impacts in Jordan Agriculture

Amman, Jordan – September 5, 2024 – Climate Action Network Jordan (CAN), as part of its consortium project “The Global Center on Climate Change, Water, Energy, Food, and Health Systems (GC3WEFH)”, has announced the 2nd Call for Proposals. This initiative offers funding for high-impact research and intervention projects aimed at addressing the health impacts of climate change in Jordan. Jordanian community organizations and researchers are invited to submit proposals that provide practical, actionable solutions to these pressing challenges.

The call for proposals, which opens today, has a submission deadline of October 6, 2024. Successful applicants can receive up to $15,000 in funding, with projects expected to begin on November 1, 2024.

This call builds on the mission of GC3WEFH, which focuses on improving coordination across the water, energy, food, and health sectors, while promoting sustainable development and community well-being. GC3WEFH works with international universities and local community organizations to address the critical challenges posed by climate change.

Eligibility and Application Process:
The call is open to Jordanian community organizations that are either members of GC3WEFH or its Stakeholder Advisory Board. Non-members selected for funding will be required to join the Center prior to signing a grant agreement. The proposed projects should have a maximum duration of 10 months.
