  • Monitor and evaluate the treated greywater to achieve acceptable standards for reclaiming greywater (based on the Jordanian standards for greywater reclamation)
  • Promote the use of innovative strategies to maximize the utilization of greywater to support the Government’s effort in sustainable management of water resources using NbS for agriculture.

Program Activities

The main deliverables of this project are:

A) A detailed design of the ‘Nature-based Solutions – Constructed Wetland’
B) Implemented and operational ‘Nature-based Solutions – Constructed Wetland’ in the selected study area that is functional with local operators to be used in irrigation.
C) The project envisions achieving these outputs through a series of coordinated activities, harmonizing engineering, ecological, and societal perspectives to promote sustainable greywater treatment and management in Jordan. Detailed design for the ‘Nature-based Solutions – Constructed Wetland’ to treat greywater.
D) Implementation phase and start operational activities for the ‘Nature-based Solutions – Constructed Wetland’.
